I'm sure you already looked at what all I did, For windows 7 I would try the quad core fix, and then the codec fix, using the program at this link, (K-lite codec pack) When you run it, run it using the default installation type (i think it says "normal" or something to that effect) and click "ok" or "fix" whenever you are prompted with missing a dll, or something interfering with DirectShow. I have tried the quad-core fix (even though I have 2 cores) as well as the d3d9.dll, and running in compatibility mode for windows XP SP2. I played this game awhile ago, and vaguely remember having to change some setting or preference to make it work before, but I don't know what it was.
